It’s October 23. Better mock up your inventory of every track on repeat. If you don’t, it was meaningless—keys that settled your mind, harmonizing that helped you not die. If it’s not the list, why’d you bother with listening? Year end lists, teenage-y & tragic. Plant your flag, fight for its battalion. Print it out, play it to the rafters. Year end lists are permanent forever.
When he solos, it’s meh. They got the gated snare every band used since 2018. I wouldn’t playlist it publicly. Fell for their labelmates’ tape but wrote the side person’s press release...it’d be conflict of interest. They are boycotted from my top ten song list—it really, really matters. Fly your flag, fight as its defender. Rip it up but it’s staying on the record. Year end lists are permanent forever. They’re permanent.
It was the battle of ages making it through the whole year unscathed. I’m scathed, but I wrote songs for the album you asked me for. Thanks if you listen at all when it gets pressed in like 33 months. Teenage-y & tragic isn’t bad. Have fun where you can have it. Who’s the best? Who’s so bad you’re laughing? Year end lists really, really matter. (Year end lists are permanent.)
