My internet friend Chris Stedman (author of the great book IRL) wrote and hosted a new podcast called Unread! Aaron Kaufman, my friend since high school, did the score and wrote a great theme song, and I got to reinterpret it in the style of Britney (bitch) for Episode 3 of the show. Ben Seretan (of Cicada Waves fame) also did a version, and on Episode 4 we all performed it together (from afar, duh).

There's a soundtrack out today featuring all of those versions at unread.bandcamp.com—all sales in 2021 will benefit BEAM Collective and Trans Lifeline.

THIS IS NOT THAT SOUNDTRACK! For subscribers *only*, here's "Surface v4 (Sadie's Chaos Edit)"—my stems for the fourth version of the theme. Aaron did a tricky and detailed vocal arrangement for the group version and I sent him over a loooot of options of me doing each harmony, plus some scary synths. When I took out Ben and Aaron's very nice tracks, it sounded...DEMONIC AND FUN! So of course I had to bounce it. It reminds me of "My Destiny," the creepy Andrew WK song he may or may not have gotten a restraining order over when he was a teenager.
